Airlines and air operators in Tanzania are invited to commence direct flights to Kuwait as the two countries signs a Bilateral Air Service Agreement.
The agreement which was signed on 29th March is expected to reduce sufferings tourists from Kuwait were facing which saw them travel via other countries before arriving to Tanzania.
The agreement was signed by Minister for Works, Transport and Communications, Hon. Prof. Makame Mbarawa (MP), on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and Eng. Yousef S. Al Fouzan, Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Kuwait on behalf of the Government of the State of Kuwait.
“By signing a Bilateral Air Services Agreement, adequate justice has been done to tourists from Kuwait who have been visiting those attractive sites but having to travel on circular flights through other countries which is too costly and inconvenient. Airlines from both Kuwait and Tanzania are now welcome to commence direct flight services between the two countries,” said Minister Mbarawa.
This event signifies a good relationship between these two Governments in terms of business and diplomacy. The signing of the agreement launches another yet new chapter on air transport relationship, which as we all know has significant impact in all sectors of our economy.
“It is with great excitement that airlines from the two countries will be able to provide air services for passengers and cargo between Tanzania and Kuwait. This will definitely create more flexibility for tourist in-flow and passengers who travel for other reasons including business between the two countries.”
Tanzania is endowed with exciting tourist attractions including Mount Kilimanjaro which is the highest peak in Africa. There are also national parks full of a variety species of animals and nice beaches in the beautiful island of Zanzibar. Ngorongoro crater which is a large volcanic caldera, one of the wonders of the world is also one of the tourist attraction located in Tanzania.
